Fixing the Farm House

We drove to Tioga in mid January and spent close to ten days helping daughter Jenny and husband Christopher do some fixing on a house they purchased last year on a beautiful farm site a couple miles outside of Tioga.  The main reason we assisted with this carpentry work is that the kids can’t find tradesmen out there to help them.  Men, both skilled and unskilled, prefer the wages of the oil fields.

Jenny cooked a dinner for her family one evening at the farm house, although the new 9-foot kitchen island, black quartz countertop, and other amenities have not yet arrived.  The kids go downstairs to play, while Chris and Jenny work a couple more hours.  Reminds me of the old days on Lilac Lane in Victoria.

Love, Mom
