Firefighters Feed and InForm

The annual Open House at the Victoria Fire Station was held this year on a cold and windy Saturday, October 6th, and so I stayed inside the station this time.  It was well attended, the food was warm and tasty, the hot chocolate was hot, and there were exhibits with information.

Sparky the friendly fire dog showed up at the Victoria Open House and stopped by to visit Marge Robling, Elaine Williams, and Marge Leuthner.

Sparky was a hit with the little ones.

Derek Braith and his boys Gabriel and Nathaniel.

Hi, Elaine and Lawrence Williams (left).  Hi, Wilbert and Darlene Kelzer.

Visitors to the Open House were served sloppy joes and hot dogs, chips and cookies, hot chocolate, juice, and coffee with a smile.  Some of the wives and girl friends of the Victoria firefighters serving lunch included (l-r):  Michelle Mayes, Sarah Rivers, Amanda Stang, Jessiger Heger, Lindsay Personius, and Sherri Walsh.

Brad Leuthner is a Professional Fisherman who had gear and boat at the Victoria Fire Station.  Thanks for the free t-shirt, Brad.

Northstar Search and Rescue was part of this year’s Open House in Victoria.  They are an all-volunteer nonprofit organization that assists law enforcement and other governmental agencies in finding and recovering lost persons.  (L-r):  Diane Stefanick and Shiloh, Angela Flores and Fiera, Denise Schultz and Eva, Ross Butterfield and Bosco.
