Christmas at Sovereign Winery

It seemed like a Sunday evening thing to do, and so on Sunday, December 10th, we drove five miles down the road toward Waconia to check out what we’ve been hearing is “all the rage.;

People have been telling us about the spectacular light show at Sovereign Estates Winery, located in the neighborhood on North Shore Drive, and so we purchased admission tickets online and drove out after dark, about 6 o’clock.

The display of lights was, indeed, amazing and I kept thinking about the Christmas Trail of Lights that we’ve visited several times down in Branson, Missouri.  How fun to have something like this so close to home.

There were firepits and heatlamps to help keep us warm as we strolled among the trees, from one exhibit to the next.

We were amazed at the amount of work it must have taken to light up this forest of trees and exhibits on the property.

Lots of people were already at Sovereign Estates when we arrived, including young families with children and even babies in strollers — none of them crying.

We hope to come back again next year with our children and grandchildren if it works out.  Thank you, Sovereign Estates.
