At the Renaissance Festival

An elephant at the Renaissance Festival?  It was an unexpected treat at the Exclusive Preview Party for the 2015 Minnesota Renaissance Festival.  Who is feeding the elephanet?

The event took place at Queen’s Gate on Thursday, August 13th, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.  My guests included husband Allan and friends Chuck and Pam Freiberg of Victoria.  That’s Pam feeding the elephant.

Posing between Allan and Chuck is a guy who has been working the Renaissance for 40 years.  Dressed as a rooster, he squawks loudly in terror and grief at people who are eating the famous turkey legs, that it could be “my mother, my father, my brother, my sister, my cousin.”

Pam enjoyed this Pirate of the Caribbean but he was not Johnny Depp.

We were all guests of King Henry.

While sampling food fare and enjoying costumes and personalities, we ran into someone familiar with the Gazette, Kerry Leopold of Victoria.  Left to right:  Cynthia McKee, Pam Freiberg, Kerry Leopold, unidentified Renaissance gal, Chuck Freiberg.

As the evening grew dark, so did some of the Renaissance people.
