Apple Day in Excelsior

Sunshine on Saturday, September 22nd, provided a perfect Apple Day in downtown Excelsior.

The crowd was phenomenal.  The wares were unending.  The lake was calm.  The music was upbeat.  Food and drink and familiar faces were everywhere.

Chris Wolf (“like in big bad wolf,” she said) is a purser for the Minnehaha Steam Boat on Lake Minnetonka.  A purser is a person who takes care of the money — or the tickets , in this case.

You can see it was a perfect blue-sky day. 

We ran into Bob and Christine Meller who walked up town from their cabin on Lake Minnetonka.  Bob has been the city attorney of Wayzata for many years.

Bob Gerlicher of Deephaven is a tennis and fishing buddy of Allan’s.

We also ran into Erv and Linda Spevacek of Victoria.

Bonnie Economy (left) of Chanhassen and St. Victoria said hi as we walked down to the lake.
