Addie is Two!

Addie knew her birthday would include "balloons and cake and candles."  January 21st was a snowy, icy, treacherous day to be on the road to Northfield, but Grandpa Al has four wheel drive.

The birthday girl squealed with delight at the sight of balloons and presents … and us.

But she was a little shy when it came time to blow out the candles.

Then she huffed, and she puffed, and ...

… and she blew the candles out.

The frosting disappeared first on her mommy's cupcakes.

Two for tea, and tea for two ...

Addie wore the first present she opened from Grandma and Grandpa.  The pink outfit was just perfect.  Every strip of paper has to be off the box before she opens it.

Wooden puzzles are not very exciting …

… until Grandpa gets into the act.

Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful.

When Addie goes to school, she will get an  A+ for Show and Tell.

Addie learned how to blow her party favors, something she had never seen before.   Her mommy gave good instructions:  "Blow just like when you blow out candles.

So she huffed, and she puffed, and ...

… and she blew it just right!

Grandpa Al gets a kiss.

And Daddy gets a snuggle.

Little Gunnar missed the birthday party, but not his Grandma Sue.

"Grandma, don't squeeze me so hard."

"That's much better."

"Grandma, don't forget it's my birthday."

It was almost the same picture 30 years ago.

Goodbye, Gun Gun.  Goodbye, Christopher.  Goodbye, Jenny.  Goodbye, Birthday Girl.

The End

Love, Sue
