Home Away from Home

On Saturday morning, May 22nd, we drove to Minneota with Jenny, Christopher, Addie, and Gunnar for the wedding of my niece Lindsay Claeys to Ben Tippetts.  I didn’t take too many pictures but just enjoyed the time with our kids.

Jenny took this picture of me and Addie Sue on our way to the reception in Ghent.

Addie and Gunnar think this suite at the AmericInn in Marshall is their home away from home when they’re with Grandma Sue and Grandpa Al in this neck of the woods.

Their favorite destination is the swimming pool down the hall.

Waiting for Mom and Grandma to catch up with them.

Addie and Gunnar are little fish like their mom and dad.

They also spent time in the hot with Christopher ...

… and back to the Jacuzzi with Jenny.

Thank you, Mom and Dad, for everything.  It’s always good to see you and spend time at home.

Mom and Dad had the kids — I mean my brothers and sisters and some of the grandchildren and great grandchildren — out to the farm the next day for dinner.  It was delicious and fun.  After several hours it was time to head back to the cities.

When we got back to Victoria, Vance and Jean Norgaard of Northfield brought supper to our house and had a chance to spend a little time with the grandchildren.  They also took the kids to the Amtrak depot in St. Paul for the 11 p.m. train back to Tioga.  Everybody slept very well that night.
