Bath Time

Once upon a time there was a little girl named Addie Sue who spent a night at Grandma and Grandpa's house in Victoria.  Her daddy was out of town, and so her mommy sang, "Over the river and through the woods, to grandmother's house we go.  The horse knows the way to carry the sleigh through the white and drifted snow, oh!"  After a whole day together, it was obvious that the little girl wore out her mom and here grandma, but Miss Adeline still had getup and go!

"Hey, Grandpa, I can't get Mom and Grandma off the davenport, and I want to play in the bathtub."

"Come on, Mom.  It's getting late."

"Yes, I am this big, but don't try to change the subject."

"Finally, I get my way!"

"Hi, Grandpa.  I don't think you should be in the bathroom with all of us girls."

"Look, everybody.  I can  bite my toes."

"I am one year old, and that's enough when you can't say 13 months."

"Thank you for the fire, Grandma.  It feels real nice."

"Do you recognize this song, Grandma?"

"I think my mommy loves me."

"I love to sit by the water as well as in it.'

"I think I've met you before someplace."

"Was it on the beach?"

"My toes are squeaky clean."

"And they fit in the funniest places."

"As long as I keep busy, they don't put me to bed."

The End

Love, Grandma Sue
